Sneak to how this painting has been evolving! 🌄🎨 it’s been fun trying this completely new painting style. I’ve been inspired by living back in Alberta and the winter season. So I wanted to paint something meaningful to where I’m from, but with a groovy twist - shown by the vibrant colors! 🌈✨

Every pair I make is done with a full professional process! I carefully prep the surface, hand-paint all details, then seal and protect the artwork so they’re made to last!

Me in my natural habitat: welcome to my studio 🖼️✨

I genuinely can’t believe how much my space has changed. In Vancouver, I was painting in a basement suite with barely any lighting, sometimes literally squeezed into a hallway that was only a couple feet wide. It worked… but it never felt like it was supporting my creativity.

Now I’ve upgraded to a studio with IMMENSE light, a gorgeous backyard view, and a setup that finally feels like home. Everything is more functional, more peaceful, and I can actually breathe while I create (which… matters more than I realized 😅).

I’m very grateful!

I’m still in the mid-layers right now, and this stage can feel sooo messy and “wrong.” I caught myself comparing it to paintings I’ve done in the past that turned out better… and it started making me spiral like, “why can’t I do that again?”

But I’m reminding myself: every painting has a different journey. Mid-layers are always FREAKIN awkward. The magic is in the next layers.

Does anyone else find that the more creative pieces you complete the more critical you are of your own work?! - or is this just me? 😅

As someone with a bachelors of science background and masters in sustainable forest management, painting nature feels like coming home… connecting what I’ve studied with what I feel has been so fulfilling and just right.

I used one paintbrush for this entire purse… and it’s officially my new fave! I’ve been searching for a brush like this forever!
